Pieter Boelen is a volunteer at WijkKeuken in Vilvoorde. He had to be rehabilitated for one and a half years at AZ Jan Portaal in Vilvoorde before being able to function autonomously again. Those difficult times made him realize the importance of being surrounded by people. Now he finds joy into helping people while also finding a sense of community.
