CCTV now mandatory in UK slaughterhouses

The UK legislation that states CCTV cameras are mandatory in all slaughterhouses starts this month. The proposal dictates that all areas where live animals are present must have a CCTV camera and offer unrestricted access to footage for Official Veterinarians.


21st century: Abortion still an issue

British MPs’ voted to decriminalise abortion in England and Wales. The move is largely symbolic as the 1967 Abortion Act effectively decriminalised terminations in England and Wales 50 years ago, on the condition of  two doctors’ approval and subject to
