Every year, more and more students are studying abroad. Not only the sunny destinations like Spain and Portugal are popular, also Belgium is a great place for international students. But what happens if these students want to work to earn some extra money?

Alena Bieling is an international student from Germany and can’t find a student job. ‘You don’t need to speak Dutch for filling the shelves, right?’ Paola Villasuso Gavino is also an international student. She did find a student job in Brussels. Karen Theyskens, from the employment agencies in Mechelen, explains why it can be such a difficult search for international students.
