US-China deal met with suspicion

US President Trump is receiving backlash from different parties after he announced he’d support Chinese phone company ZTE. According to the Washington Post and CNN, this proves that Trump is giving in to China’s demands for a wider trade deal.

After CNN obtained a list of demands from China for a trade deal, the president tweeted that he wouldn’t give in to Chinese demands easily. In his Tweets, he said that ‘America has given so much over the years.’

President Donald Trump insists on his Twitter account that he won’t be giving China the upper hand in negotiations. But several news outlets have doubts about the deal. Earlier this week, they suggested ZTE would help Trump’s company in developing a hotel and golf course in Indonesia. If the accusations are true, Trump could face harsh charges.
