The images of women in the changing rooms of the HoGent appeared on a Dutch forum this weekend. Afterwards, a Dutch journalist Joost Schellevis published photographs of a shower and a changing room on Twitter, asking if anyone recognized them. Meanwhile, the Ghent police received several complaints about the hidden cameras in the sports hall at the Ghent College of Higher Education (Hogeschool Gent).

‘The HoGent is quite powerless as the images could have been shot by anyone,’ commented the HoGent’s spokesman Johan Persyn. “The only thing we could do was to report it. We have also asked our ushers to check thoroughly that there are no hidden cameras. They must ensure that our visitors’ privacy is respected as much as possible,’ Persyn added.
The Prosecutor’s office has not reported the exact number of complaints they received yet. However, the prosecutor Caroline Jonckers assures that it will become clear this week.
